There are many definitions of "business model." There are many uses of a business model. The problem is that few, if any, really understand business models.
There is but one truth in business - other than campaign contributions of course - and that is business model. If one understands it, then one is truly in the game. If one doesn't, then one's failure is predetermined and success is preordained (i.e. due to factors outside their sphere of influence)
