Rhapsody to challenge iTunes by embracing the iPod

You bet big on something, say beta-max for those of you who remember, and that thing does not take off like you expected. Now, you are faced with the dual task of eating crow and serving up the dish you neglected in the first place.
Rhapsody, did not embrace the iPod. iPod dominates the marketplace. What happens to Rhapsody? Well, they were almost history. Now, they are spending $50MM embracing the iPod i.e. allowing for song downloads from their site in MP3 format so they can be played on the iPod.
The question is: is this move too little too late?
