Search Engine Optimization: Being Found Depends on Dropping Hints?

aka is the buzzword that the eBusiness leader lives by. Be found on Google or perish is the new mantra. Really?

Should the focus on being found be replaced with a drive to be seen? In other words, it is true that customers use keywords to find you, but you can influence the keywords they search for? That, my dear Watson, is the elephant in the room eStrategists ignore!
