This research study explores the progress IT organizations have made "running IT like a business." The idea behind running IT as a business is to align IT capability with business requirements/goals/critical success factors. The latter varies by the maturity of the business and drives the maturity of IT capability (which manifests itself as IT services/products etc.).
This study assesses the maturity of business service management - compares IT and business maturity and explores lessons from this comparison.
