One of the toughest questions to answer is: is my business is alignment with IT?
Prof. Luftman tries to answer this question in this paper originally published in 2000.
Are we in alignment? For all the focus on IT Alignment, this is still one of the toughest questions to answer.
Prof. Jerry Luftman has developed a framework that helps answer this question. The framework has six strategic alignment maturity criteria and five stages of maturity. The paper presents the results of a study based on this framework in which 25 of the Fortune 500 companies participated.
